An American Girl Doll March Break Adventure!

March Break is right around the corner and you know what time it is....vacation time with your American Girl dolls!  When your dolls are going on a vacation they will definitely need a suitcase that is perfectly packed and ready to go.  The first step to packing your dolls suitcase is you have to know what the weather will be like at the place you will be going to and how many nights you will be staying for. The next step is to decide how many bags ( such as a suitcase, backpack, a carry on bag)  you will need based on what you will need to bring with you.  So many items to choose but do your best to not over pack! You will have to choose from tops, bottoms, dresses, pj's, swimsuits and shoes and accessories.  Now you need to pack her toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush/combs, any hair elastics/clips, facial cleanser/creams, soaps and whatever else your doll uses.  Okay, we are almost done packing, we just have to get through 1 more step, are you ready?  The final step is to pack any electronics, toys or anything your doll will need to travel.  I have attached a few pictures down below of some examples on what I like to pack.  

Who was the AG GOTY who travelled in her story?  The answer is...Grace Thomas GOTY 2015! Grace travelled all around Paris with her mom, uncle, aunt and her little cousin.  My dream vacation to go on with my dolls would have to be Hawaii and I would obviously bring Kanani.  Where would your dream vacation be and what AG doll would you bring?

Sneak Peek: American Girl 2016 Spring Release

A New Addition To Our American Girl Family Truly Me #37

I am thrilled to announce that a new member has joined my AG family and it is Truly Me #37.... Searra!  Searra's features include red feathered eyebrows, light skin, emerald green eyes, short straight strawberry red hair and the classic face mold with cute freckles.  Searra is a unique addition to my AG collection because she is the first doll in my collection to have short hair and lovely emerald green eyes.  Searra is no doubt one of the athletes in my AG family!  Searra absolutely loves swimming and surfing, but her biggest passion is playing volleyball (I think she gets her volleyball skills from me).  Searra can play a little rough with her sisters sometimes but she does not mean any harm since she has a big caring heart.

Even though Truly Me (TM) #37 has some features that are similar to Mia (GOTY 2008), they do have a lot of different features.  Here is my comparison between TM #37 and Mia.
Some similarities include:
they both have feathered eyebrows;
the classic face mold with freckles;
light skin;
and both have strawberry red hair.
Some different features include:
the lengths of hair - TM #37 has short shoulder length hair and Mia's hair length is just above the waist;
TM #37's hair is more straighter then Mia's hair has a slight wave at the ends;
Mia's eye colour is hazel with dominant green and TM #37's eye colour is emerald green;
TM #37's lip shade is a little darker then Mia's;
and they both have feathered eyebrows but in different shades of red -  Mia's eyebrow colour is more of a orange/red shade while TM #37's shade is more brown/red.

My American Girl Visit with the 2016 GOTY Lea Clark!

I went to the AG store to check out the new GOTY 2016 Lea Clark!  She is soooooooo pretty in real life and I absolutely love her carmel long wavy hair.  I love the fact that in her story she gets to travel to Brazil and swim in the ocean while exploring wildlife.  I am very impressed with her collection especially her rainforest house.  Her rainforest house includes: a straw like roof, a shower on one side of the house, a pink hammock with blue/purple stripes on the other side of the house, a bed that is movable so you can make it high or low, a mattress, a blanket and a pillow, food and drinks, a table and a chair, a stone oven, a small blue tablet, a light up lantern, a parrot, a basket, soap and a towel, butterflies you can put all over the house and scenes for the window (you can change the scenes from day or night).  The rainforest house is probably my favourite piece from Lea's whole collection. If I had the room for the rainforest house at my own house, I would buy it in a snap.

Lea's fruit stand also looks fun to play with.  Her fruit stand comes with a parrot that is so cute so I had to put a photo of it down below .

When I was at the AG store,  I decided to buy her swim set and her sea turtle (I named my turtle Turtiely).  Overall, I think AG did a wonderful job on Lea Clark and her collection but I still think  that AG kind of took some elements from Kanani's collection (GOTY 2011) and also Mckenna (GOTY 2012), Jess (GOTY 2006) and Rebecca (BeForever doll).  For example, Kanani's adventures involve the beach and swimming just like Lea's.  Mckenna has the same hair colour and they both have the Josephina's face mold.  Rebecca and Lea both have the Josephina face mold, curly hair, hazel eyes but Rebecca does have more brown in her eyes and Lea has more green in her eyes.  The only things Rebecca and Lea do not have in common is the length and hair color and Lea's skin tone is more tanned then Rebecca's skin tone.  Jess has some of the same items as Lea such a kayak and a hammock set.

Well, I don't know about you but I definitely have Lea Clark's whole collection on the top of my wish list, Christmas is only a 11 months away, right?  Blog to you later:)

American Girl Beforever Melody Ellison Book is Now Available for Purchase!

American Girl has announced that you can now buy the new Beforever Melody Ellison book!  The entire doll collection will be released in the summer 2016.

NEW 2016 BEFOREVER DOLL MELODY ELLISON PICTURE RELEASE!

This is a picture of the new American Girl Beforever Doll set to be released in 2016!  She is a beauty!  Her story is set in 1961.  I'll pass on more information in the New Year, for now enjoy!
