Guess Who's Retiring from American Girl?

There have been some rumors that Addy Walker (BeForever 1864) and Rebecca Rubin (BeForever 1914) will be retiring this year or next year. I, too, believe they will be retiring sooner or later because some items from both Rebecca's and Addy's collections  are being discontinued and going on sale (psst...in some stores in Canada, I already spotted the  Addy doll itself has been reduced in price). There is also speculation that since American Girl is coming out with a new African-American doll this fall, that she may be slated to replace Addy in the BeForever collection.  I am just as sad as you guys probably are... but on the bright side Melody Ellison will be here soon!

My favorite time of the AG year is when summer comes around and AG launches a bunch of new items.  If I had to choose 10 of my favorite AG items (from the years 2012-2016) that would be suitable for summer wear,  they would have to be:

American Girl Sports Outfits

My AG dolls are superstars at sports except for Caroline (she is the fashionista of the family).  I love all of AG's athletic outfits but my favourite ones are the retired soccer outfit and the retired volleyball outfit (I have included pictures of each outfit below).  I love the soccer and the volleyball outfit because they are both my favourite sports and they look similar to what a soccer and volleyball outfit a professional athlete could wear.  My dolls played so many sports that eventually they had to choose no more then 3 sports that they were going to focus on. Remember, don't let anything or anyone stop you from doing that one thing you love. For example,  Emma did not make the soccer team this year and she was crushed but she swept up all those tears and now she is doing her best to get better by enrolling in more soccer training sessions.  I would love to go on and on about sports but I just remembered I have to leave in 5 minutes for Julie's basketball game. An American Girl Doll March Break Adventure!

March Break is right around the corner and you know what time it is....vacation time with your American Girl dolls!  When your dolls are going on a vacation they will definitely need a suitcase that is perfectly packed and ready to go.  The first step to packing your dolls suitcase is you have to know what the weather will be like at the place you will be going to and how many nights you will be staying for. The next step is to decide how many bags ( such as a suitcase, backpack, a carry on bag)  you will need based on what you will need to bring with you.  So many items to choose but do your best to not over pack! You will have to choose from tops, bottoms, dresses, pj's, swimsuits and shoes and accessories.  Now you need to pack her toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush/combs, any hair elastics/clips, facial cleanser/creams, soaps and whatever else your doll uses.  Okay, we are almost done packing, we just have to get through 1 more step, are you ready?  The final step is to pack any electronics, toys or anything your doll will need to travel.  I have attached a few pictures down below of some examples on what I like to pack.  

Who was the AG GOTY who travelled in her story?  The answer is...Grace Thomas GOTY 2015! Grace travelled all around Paris with her mom, uncle, aunt and her little cousin.  My dream vacation to go on with my dolls would have to be Hawaii and I would obviously bring Kanani.  Where would your dream vacation be and what AG doll would you bring?
